Professor Ozgur Yeniel , MD, is the Founder and Head of Innovation at SoranusMed with close to 20 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology. With a special interest in pelvic floor disorders, Dr. Yeniel has performed over 1000 surgeries, written more than 100 publications, and continues to teach at Ege University.
Ozer Baysal
Chief Executive Officer
Ozer Baysal is an executive with broad experience in numerous biopharmaceutical companies, including Pfizer Inc. where he has run large operations with multi-billion-dollar P&L’s. His experience spans across multiple business functions, organizational levels and international geographies. He has held numerous management positions including C-Suite and brings expertise in marketing, sales, strategy, M&A, business development, manufacturing, business turnaround, organizational development and general management.
Engin Frayman
Head of Manufacturing & Business Development
Engin Frayman is a natural entrepreneur with more than 35 years of track record in developing and growing companies in various industries. He founded several companies and successfully managed them until 2019 when he decided primarily to focus on technology/innovations and continue his career as an angel investor. He is currently investing directly and indirectly in more than 40 start-ups. He is also managing the business development and finance side of Soranus.
Dennis Derofe
Head of Operations
Dennis Derofe is a pharma executive and served as Corporate Communications Director in multinational companies such as Sanofi and Abbott. She worked on numerous projects in pharma, including stakeholder engagement, innovation culture, transitions, and post-merger organizational development. As an entrepreneur and philanthropist, she founded a pediatric rehabilitation center and is working to increase access to evidence-based, innovative intervention methods utilizing neuroplasticity exercises.
Prof. Serdal Temel
Head of Government & EU Relations
Serdal Temel is a Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Ege University Faculty of Engineering as well as a visiting professor at Southampton University in the United Kingdom and Delft University in the Netherlands. His area of expertise is technology-based entrepreneurship, innovation management in small businesses, and technology transfer. Prof. Temel is also a registered Technology Transfer professional. Prof. Temel has been appointed as a Technology Transfer Mentor for Albania and Russia by the European Commission.
Sibel Ozlu
Head of Strategic Intelligence, Finance & Corporate Coordination
Sibel Ozlu is a pharma executive with more than 20 years of experience. She has held various management roles in marketing, market intelligence, and business development with multinational companies such as Pfizer and Sanofi. At Soranus, she is responsible for strategic intelligence and coordination of all activities within the corporate.
Karen Valentine
Business & Legal Advisor
Karen Higgins Valentine, Esq. is our strategic and legal advisor with 20+ years of experience as a biotechnology and medical device attorney. She served as counsel in a Boston law firm and as Chief Legal Officer (CLO) of biotechnology companies. Karen was recently CLO of Constellation Pharmaceuticals, where she joined pre-IPO and worked with colleagues post-IPO to grow the organization, raise additional capital, advance the programs, and close a successful M&A transaction with MorphoSys AG.
Alvi Mazon
Head of Investor Relations
Alvi Mazon is an entrepreneur, co-founder, and CEO of a multibillion-dollar technology company with offices in 20 countries. His experience includes investments in technology and manufacturing companies and the facilitation of their exits through LBOs, IPOs, and strategic sales. Additionally, he has mentored dozens of start-up companies to help them navigate their growth processes.
